One of the reasons why I blog is because I love finding out about new products, about really special products for mums and kids that I can share with the world. And today's review really is a very special find. I can quite honestly say that this one item of clothing brought the biggest smile in the world to my face, and to Lara's. This personalised hooded top was made to order by GillyJam and it is just about the best product I have tried in my 4 years of parenting!

Gillian will appliqué your child's name to the reverse of the top and will add appliqué details to both the front and back of the hooded top to really personalise it. I chatted by email with Gillian about the types of things that Lara was in to (she is particularly fascinated with bees at present... she knows they help to pollinate the flowers for our vegetable garden) so that Gillian could get some inspiration for a design for Lara's hooded top. The existing gallery of GillyJam hooded tops features flowers, dinosaurs and more - lots of big, bold designs that look great and simple on a brightly coloured hooded top.
When our GillyJam hooded top arrived, I was totally blown away. There is absolutely no way on this planet that I could have made such a great top. The hooded top itself is REALLY good quality and is a lovely jersey knit with a fleecy inside - there is a single hand-pocket across the front of the hooded top. Gillian did an amazing job with the appliqué bees - don't they look fun? The really special bit for me is the addition of a little bit of sparkly thread here and there to make the wings and to outline Lara's name. Can you tell that I LOVE it???
This GillyJam personalised children's hooded top costs £28 plus postage and is available in about 26 different colours and in sizes from age 1 all the way through to age 13. I think they are awesome!
