The Sunday Review – MiniWardrobe.com Kids Clothing

I'm slowly growing to like clothes shopping. For Lara, not for me. Just as long as it doesn't involve a packed town centre on a busy Saturday afternoon, I'm enjoying choosing stylish, bright and fun clothes for my little girl who is quickly growing up.

We recently got a chance to try out the online shopping site, MiniWardrobe.com who stock a small, but stylish range of children's clothes and toys from Europe. The miniwardrobe site immediately appealed to me, not just for the range of designer clothes but mainly because the site looked great (you'll notice it has similar colours, crisp images and clear white background as my own site). I write websites and so it is important to me that the sites I use look great, are incredibly easy to use (I don't accept excuses when it comes to usability) and that they make the most of the technology they have available without complicating the shopping experience. Miniwardrobe does all of these things.

From the minute you set eyes on the site, they make it easy for you to use. Great search options, great display options (which allow you to filter by age, colour, style, brand etc.) and a check-out process that is effortless and doesn't require an Msc in computer science. I also loved the fact that all customers get a 30% discount on their first purchase to help you take the plunge.

I found the range of clothes for my daughter a bit limited (she is in age 2 clothes and there wasn't an enormous range to choose from). But, of the products on offer they were a fascinating mix of named designer labels and items with an ethnic style but a designer cut from smaller names that you are unlikely to find on many other retail websites.

I chose Lara this Diesel cotton top (£28) as a special treat. Lara has lots of bargain long-sleeved tops from supermarkets and high-street stores so I thought this would make a nice change. It is exactly the kind of thing I like to dress Lara in on a daily basis. I think It makes her look like my rock star.

As soon as I made my purchase, I realised what makes MiniWardrobe stand out from some of the other online shopping sites I use. The email confirmation and shipping confirmation came quickly, were well written, clear and informative. The delivery was PROMPT. My order was received well within 48 hours or ordering in smart, elegant packaging. I was also offered loyalty points on my purchase that I could redeem in the future.

Miniwardrobe often run competitions on their site to win tickets to big concerts (recently they gave away Justin Beiber tickets).

If you're interested in trying out MiniWardrobe.com for yourself, I have discount code you can use to get 20% off. Enter MELLOW20 at the checkout. I'll leave the discount on my 'Competitions and Discounts' page if you want to refer back to it.
